The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said yesterday that it is putting up for auction the assets of two failed financial institutions, including one with assets in Winston-Salem.

Silverton Bank, a bank that was based in Atlanta, specialized in providing services to other banks. It had an office at 4505 Country Club Road in Winston-Salem among 13 nationwide.

Rick Levin & Associates, based in Chicago, is holding an online auction for 126 items from the Winston-Salem office. The assets can be viewed at www.ricklevin.com, where bids can be placed, and at 2895 Ridgewood Park Drive.
